Wheelchair

Welcome to the Official Website for Aberystwyth’s West Coast Warriors Wheelchair Basketball Club, hereby known as WCWWBC.

About

Wheelchair Basketball is a fun and exciting Sport for people of all ages and abilities.

Contrary to belief players do NOT have to be in a Wheelchair to play.

Non-disabled players are urged to play along side players with disabilities and the classification for Wheelchair Basketball is quite simple:
– every player is assigned a point value based on his/her functional ability (from 1.0 for a player with the least physical function through to 4.5 for the most physical function)
-during play, the total on-court point value for each team of five players cannot exceed 14.
